This is a solid feel-good film. Nivin Pauly's back doing what suits him, which is this effortless charm and boy-next-door relatability. He's ditched roles that don't fit, and it shows. After Sarvam Maya, he picked this one and it works.
Mamita Baiju is the surprise. Malayalam hasn't given her serious work before. Premalu was froth, but this film let her do real acting. She matched Nivin scene for scene. The cinematography lives up to Bhavana Studios' standard, and the editing is tight. The cuts matter.
What got me was watching someone his age not fighting the reality of never marrying. My friends are all married or getting married. I'm still here. Nivin's character sits in that same gap, and he's not bitter about it, not wistful. He's just someone with hobbies who takes life as it comes. A lot of people are going to see themselves in that.
