About this film

Ryan Coogler directs this 2022 film, the thirtieth in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and sequel to Black Panther. Following the death of King T'Challa, the leaders of Wakanda, including Shuri, Okoye, and Queen Ramonda, defend their nation from outside powers while forging a new path forward. Letitia Wright stars as Shuri alongside Lupita Nyong'o and Angela Bassett. Chadwick Boseman's death in 2020 led Marvel to write T'Challa's death into the story rather than recast the role.
