About this film

World War Z (2013) stars Brad Pitt as Gerry Lane, a former United Nations investigator who travels the world trying to find the source of a fast-spreading infection that turns people into aggressive, mindless attackers. Marc Forster directed the film, loosely inspired by Max Brooks's 2006 novel, with a screenplay credited to Matthew Michael Carnahan, Drew Goddard and Damon Lindelof. Mireille Enos plays Lane's wife, with Peter Capaldi, Ruth Negga and Matthew Fox in supporting roles as he races for answers.
