About this film

Guy Ritchie directs this period mystery, starring Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes and Jude Law as Dr. Watson, set in London in 1890. Rachel McAdams appears as Irene Adler, Holmes's former adversary. The screenplay was written by Michael Robert Johnson, Anthony Peckham, and Simon Kinberg, from a story by Johnson and producer Lionel Wigram.
