About this film

Luc Besson writes and directs this science fiction action film starring Scarlett Johansson as Lucy, a woman who gains psychokinetic abilities after a synthetic drug is accidentally absorbed into her bloodstream during a criminal deal gone wrong. Morgan Freeman and Choi Min-sik co-star. Released in July 2014, the film drew praise for its visuals, though critics questioned a plot built around the myth that humans use only ten percent of their brains.
