About this film

Rian Johnson writes and directs this science fiction thriller set in 2044, before time travel has been invented, though it will exist thirty years later. Criminal organizations from the future send their targets back in time to be killed by hired assassins called loopers, one of whom, Joe, has built a comfortable life from the work. The arrangement collapses when the mob decides to close his loop by sending back Joe's own future self for him to kill.
