About this film

Chris Wedge directs this 2002 film, the debut feature from Blue Sky Studios, from a script by Michael Berg, Michael J. Wilson, and Peter Ackerman. Set during the Pleistocene, the woolly mammoth Manny, the ground sloth Sid, and the smilodon Diego come across a human infant and agree to return him to his tribe, forming an unlikely herd. Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, and Denis Leary voice the leads. Sequels followed, beginning with Ice Age: The Meltdown in 2006.
