About this film

Up (2009) follows Carl Fredricksen, a seventy-eight-year-old widower who ties thousands of helium balloons to his house and flies it toward South America to fulfill a promise made to his late wife. An eight-year-old Wilderness Explorer named Russell stows away on the trip, and together they befriend a talking dog before running into Carl's childhood idol, an explorer named Charles Muntz who has his own plans for a rare bird they encounter. Pete Docter directed the film for Pixar.
