About this film

David Fincher directs this 2008 romantic fantasy drama, adapted by Eric Roth and Robin Swicord from F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1922 short story. Brad Pitt plays Benjamin Button, who is born an elderly man in a New Orleans nursing home and ages in reverse. Twelve years into his life he meets Daisy, played by Cate Blanchett, who moves in and out of his life as she grows up to become a dancer. Producer Ray Stark acquired the rights in the mid-1980s.
