About this film

Joel and Ethan Coen write and direct this 1998 comedy, starring Jeff Bridges as Jeffrey Lebowski, known as the Dude, a Los Angeles bowler who is attacked after being mistaken for a wealthy man of the same name. The mix-up pulls him into a kidnapping and ransom scheme, alongside his bowling partners played by John Goodman and Steve Buscemi, and involves nihilists, a missing toe and a porn producer. Carter Burwell composed the score.
