About this film

David Ayer writes and directs this third entry in the DC Extended Universe, in which government agent Amanda Waller, played by Viola Davis, recruits a team of imprisoned supervillains for high-risk missions in exchange for reduced sentences. Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, and Joel Kinnaman lead an ensemble cast as the group is sent to stop a threat capable of destroying the world. The film introduces Robbie's Harley Quinn, who later heads her own spin-off, Birds of Prey.
