About this film

M. Night Shyamalan writes, directs, and produces this psychological thriller, starring James McAvoy as a man with dissociative identity disorder who kidnaps three teenage girls, including one played by Anya Taylor-Joy, and holds them in an underground facility. Betty Buckley plays his psychiatrist, who senses that a further, dominant personality is emerging within him. The film is a follow-up to Shyamalan's 2000 film Unbreakable, distributed by Universal Pictures rather than the now-defunct Touchstone Pictures, which released Shyamalan's earlier film.
