About this film

Ron Howard directs this 2018 space Western, the second Star Wars anthology film after Rogue One. Alden Ehrenreich plays a young Han Solo who falls in with a criminal underworld heist roughly ten years before the original Star Wars, meeting Chewbacca, played by Joonas Suotamo, and the gambler Lando Calrissian, played by Donald Glover. Jonathan and Lawrence Kasdan wrote the screenplay, tracing how Solo becomes the smuggler seen in the 1977 film.
