About this film

Ready Player One (2018) is set in 2045, when much of humanity spends its time inside a virtual reality simulation called the OASIS. Steven Spielberg directed the film, based on Ernest Cline's 2011 novel, with a screenplay by Zak Penn and Cline. After the creator of the OASIS dies, he leaves behind a contest promising ownership of it to whoever solves it first, and a teenage orphan named Wade Watts, played by Tye Sheridan, races to finish before a rival corporation can.
