About this film

David Lynch writes and directs this surrealist mystery, starring Naomi Watts as an aspiring actress newly arrived in Los Angeles who befriends a car crash survivor, played by Laura Harring, suffering from amnesia. As the two set out to uncover the woman's identity, a Hollywood director played by Justin Theroux faces pressure from the criminal underworld while casting his own film. Lynch originally shot the footage as a television pilot before reshaping it into a feature.
