About this film

Christopher Nolan writes and directs this 2000 psychological thriller, based on a short story by his brother Jonathan Nolan. Guy Pearce plays Leonard Shelby, who is searching for the man who killed his wife while living with a condition that prevents him from forming new memories beyond about fifteen minutes. He relies on photographs, handwritten notes and tattoos to track his own investigation. The film intercuts a black-and-white sequence told in order with color scenes shown in reverse.
