About this film

Jojo Rabbit, written and directed by Taika Waititi, is adapted from Christine Leunens' 2008 novel Caging Skies. Ten year old Hitler Youth member Jojo Betzler, played by Roman Griffin Davis, discovers his mother, played by Scarlett Johansson, is hiding a Jewish girl in their attic. Jojo works through the discovery with the help of his imaginary friend, a childlike version of Adolf Hitler played by Waititi himself. The film won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
