About this film

Ari Aster writes and directs this 2018 psychological horror film, his feature debut. Toni Collette plays Annie Graham, a grieving miniature artist who begins uncovering disturbing secrets about her recently deceased mother, and who is then tormented by paranormal occurrences alongside her husband Steve, played by Gabriel Byrne, and their children Peter and Charlie, played by Alex Wolff and Milly Shapiro. A24 greenlit the project after Aster's earlier short film work drew attention.
