About this film

David Yates directs the second of two films closing out the Harry Potter series, again from a Steve Kloves screenplay based on J.K. Rowling's novel. Harry, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger continue their search for Voldemort's remaining Horcruxes, working to end his bid for immortality for good. The cast includes Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Ralph Fiennes, and Alan Rickman. Principal photography began on 19 February 2009, the same start date as Part 1, since the two films were shot together.
