About this film

James Mangold directs this 2019 biographical drama, starring Matt Damon as automotive designer Carroll Shelby and Christian Bale as English driver Ken Miles. Hired by Henry Ford II and Lee Iacocca, the pair build a race car meant to beat Enzo Ferrari's dominant team at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans in France. Along the way they contend with corporate interference from within Ford itself. Jon Bernthal and Caitriona Balfe appear in supporting roles.
