About this film

Quentin Tarantino writes and directs this revisionist Western set in the Antebellum South. Jamie Foxx plays an enslaved man who trains under a German bounty hunter, played by Christoph Waltz, with the aim of freeing his wife from a brutal Mississippi plantation. Leonardo DiCaprio and Samuel L. Jackson round out the cast. The title nods to Sergio Corbucci's 1966 Italian Western Django, a film Tarantino was already writing about when he began developing this script in 2007.
