About this film

Catch Me If You Can (2002) is based on the semi-autobiographical book by Frank Abagnale Jr., who claimed that before turning nineteen he swindled millions of dollars by posing as a Pan American Airways pilot, a Georgia doctor and a Louisiana prosecutor. Steven Spielberg directed the film, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Abagnale and Tom Hanks as the FBI agent assigned to catch him, from a screenplay by Jeff Nathanson. The accuracy of Abagnale's original account has since been disputed.
