About this film

Anthony and Joe Russo direct this 2014 film, the ninth in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, from a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff, and Sam Wilson uncover a conspiracy within the spy agency S.H.I.E.L.D. while facing a mysterious assassin known as the Winter Soldier. The Russos aimed for a political thriller in the style of 1970s conspiracy films, and the shoot moved from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C., and Cleveland.
