About this film

Bryan Singer directs this 2018 biographical drama covering Freddie Mercury's life from the formation of Queen in 1970 to the band's 1985 Live Aid performance at Wembley Stadium. Rami Malek plays Mercury, with Gwilym Lee and Ben Hardy as bandmates Brian May and Roger Taylor, who both consulted on the film. Anthony McCarten wrote the screenplay from a story he developed with Peter Morgan, tracking the band's rise and the pressures that nearly pulled it apart.
