About this film

Spike Lee directs this 2018 film, based loosely on Ron Stallworth's 2014 memoir Black Klansman. Set in Colorado Springs in the late 1970s, it follows Stallworth, played by John David Washington, the first African American detective on the city's force, and his colleague Flip Zimmerman, played by Adam Driver, as the two run an operation to infiltrate the local Ku Klux Klan chapter. Laura Harrier also stars, and the film includes Harry Belafonte's final performance before his 2023 death.
