About this film

Gil Junger makes his directing debut with this 1999 teen comedy, loosely based on Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew, from a screenplay by Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith. New student Cameron James falls for Bianca Stratford, but her father will not let her date until her older sister Kat, known for being difficult to deal with, does too. Cameron recruits Patrick Verona, a classmate with a troubled reputation, to date Kat and clear the way. Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger star.
