About this book

Ambedkar's India collects three speeches by B.R. Ambedkar on caste and the Indian Constitution, published together in this 2020 edition. Among them is Annihilation of Caste, in which Ambedkar examines how the caste system has shaped Indian society over generations. The speeches address both the movement for national independence and the separate, harder fight against caste hierarchy, which Ambedkar argued had to be waged without the backing of the wider nation.
